Peter Obi denials joining PDP, the 2023 presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), has denied recent reports suggesting he is defecting to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
In a statement issued by Ibrahim Umar of the Peter Obi Media Reach (POMR) on Tuesday in Abuja, Obi dismissed the claims as false and politically motivated.
“Peter Obi has been unequivocal in his position in the ongoing political coalition. He does not need anyone to put words into his mouth,” the statement.

Obi also reaffirmed his loyalty to the Labour Party, despite misleading reports linking him to other political platforms such as the PDP or ADC.The former Anambra State Governor remains a key figure in Nigerian politics, especially among the youth and reform-driven electorate since the 2023 general elections.
