A heartbreaking tragedy has struck Anambra State as a young businessman Ifesinachi Onyekere, popularly known as “Fish Magnet,” a young Nigerian entrepreneur and social media personality, was tragically kidnapped and killed by unknown gunmen on July 22025.

Ifesinachi Onyekere was the CEO of Fish Magnet, a major fresh and dried fish company in Anambra. He was abducted by unknown gunmen and within 24 hours, he was killed.

The incident occurred on a Saturday night in Okpuno, a suburb near Awka, the Anambra State capital. Ifesinachi was the son of Esther Chinyere Onyekesi, a prominent APGA Women Leader.

Before the Fish Magnet demise, he was informed that the “Fish Sellers Are Angry With him Because he Crashed The Price Since he Entered The Industry” – ifesinachi Onyekere the Young Anambra Fish Seller Said it In A Video Before Being kidn%pped and later Killed.

According to reports by Zagazola Makama and eyewitness accounts, the attackers stormed Onyekere’s residence around 10:30 p.m. in Ezinifite Village. They arrived in an ash-coloured Lexus SUV, forcibly entered the compound, and shot ifesinachi Onyekere in the leg before abducting him in his own navy blue Toyota Corolla.

Sources say the kidnappers made their escape through bush paths leading toward Nawfia, successfully evading security operatives. Ifesinachi Onyekere is a hard working Man who is trying to make earns meet for himself and family

As of now, full details surrounding his death and the recovery of his body remain unclear, but the community is mourning a young life cut short by senseless violence.

This is a tragic loss. Ifesinachi Onyekere is the only son of his mother. May his soul rest in peace. He was abducted from his residence in Ezinifite Village, Okpuno, and later found dead. The incident has sparked widespread outrage and concern over the rising insecurity in the southeastern region of Nigeria.
